Al Clarke – Harmonica

Al Clarke has elbowed his way into the local music scene for more years than his meagre talent can reasonably justify. his presence has ruined many an otherwise perfectly decent album and is now wanted by the taste police for crimes against music. He is currently residing in a "safe house" somewhere in deepest kent. He cites his major influences as little & big Waleter, Rod Piazza 60's psychedelia and Norman Wisdom. He bought his first harmonica when he was 15, developing his distinctive ‘tonguing technique’ over the years, since then he has never been without a Harmonica or a girlfriend.

Technical details for harmonica anoraks-
Al Clarke plays 'clapped out' harmonicas. Keys/tunings played on album, work it out for yourself…I had to.

Al Clarke does not use Fender Bassman amps or Astatic mics, nor does he sport a daft tuft of hair under his bottom lip, or wear the obligitary shades and beret, yet he calls himself a Harmonica player!

Seriously though. Special thanks to Laurie Garman for putting me straight in the early days and the great Brendan Power for his continuing support. I Play Hohner ‘Special 20’s, Linear Concorde amps and any cheap old shure Mics I can lay my hands on.

Good luck with the album Andy – it was a pleasure to be involved
